Sant Baba Roshan Singh Ji, head of the dera entrusted to Sant baba karam Singh Ji hoti mardan Wale has founded Sant Majha Singh educational trust in the indelible and eternal memory of Sant Majha Singh ji and to perpetuate his love for education . The foundation was laid in 1979-1980 under whose management many schools and college are running. The foundation stone of Sant Majha Singh Karamjot college for women was laid at Miani in 1990 in recognition of the long standing demand of the sangat of Miani area. The year 1994 proved to be a milestone in the history of this educational institution. This year P.U. ,UGC and in order to fulfill the conditions set by the Punjab government, the principal and other staff of the college were appointed ,and since 1995 Sant majha Singh Karamjot college for women has been in existence after receiving recognition from Punjab university Chandigarh and punjab school education board Mohali . The objective of the college management In the established of this college is to bring higher education ,especially female education ,to the homes of local residents who are relieved from sending their young daughters to distant urban college. The main objective of the college is to create a class of women skilled in the sense of self -sacrifice and service along with higher education to create awareness, among them of their glorious history and to make them aware of their civilization and culture. This college is located on Dasuya road from Pul-Pukhta, about one kilometre from the road Tanda to Shri Hargobindpur Begowal. The college is connected to the cities of Tanda and Dasuya by a paved road ,Dasuya. Bus service is also available from towns such as Begowal,Nangal Lubana ,Salhan and Sri Hargobindpur. The college has its own magnificent building and has open and airy classrooms. Library, Computer lab, playground, gym, Music room and canteen have also been arranged. Along with studies and sports, The college also gives full attention to the all round development of the students. Extra co-curricular activities like declamation, Debate, drama, Poem reciting competition and music competition are held in the college. Participation is strongly encouraged.
